The MHRTA Academy Team is designed for athletes, U14- U21 whose dreams take them to the top of Olympic and World Cup podiums.

Target race series are divisional such as the Evergreen Cup and Northwest Cup, Regional FIS series (NJR, WR Elite), and National events (NorAm's, NPS, and US Nationals) depending on age and rank of each individual athlete.  This is a full-boarding, winter-term, fully-accreditedski academy for competitive ski racers who aspire to the highest levels in both education and ski racing. Race training and academic classes work harmoniously to provide the bestpossible opportunities for success both on and off the hill.

Athletes share a fully-supervised dorm-style home in Government Camp, Oregon where they complete on-line classes, receive on-going personalized support from teachers, learn living skills, teamwork & hard work.  The Academy Team includes an integrated Sports Psychology program and an on-site Strength & Conditioning Program run by certified coaches.

Program Highlights: 

  • Individualized and flexible online academic curriculum 
  • Optimized athlete to coach ratio (5:1 on average)
  • Five days per week training and 4 days per week of classes
  • Monday and Tuesday - All day school supported by on-site teachers
  • Wednesday and Thursday -1/2 day school / 1/2 day training
    (Flexibility depending on optimal conditions)
  • Fri.- Sun. All day training
  • Sports Nutrition and Cullinary program
  • Performance Psychology program
